Whenever something occurs that causes us to react with anger, drama, resentfulness, frustration or indignation, lets stop for a moment and examine our reaction instead of acting out. What is it about the situation, person, event etc. that is triggering this reaction? Even though we may think we are acting appropriately, whenever there is a judgment within any situation, we are not acting out of love: we are reacting out of fear.
What happens when someone utters a derogatory comment, a negative statement, acts with disrespect? Do we react with indignation? Do we hurl insults back at the person? Do we start vehemently stating our “correct” position? Or do we simply love that person or situation, send our compassion, allow them to be exactly who they are at the moment, and move on in our Light? Whenever we react with anger, we are coming from the same level as the person or situation that offended us. And whenever we feel offended, we are placing a judgment on the situation. Either we are “right” and the other person is “wrong”. Or perhaps we are “evolved” and the other person is “unevolved”. Maybe we feel the person or situation is “evil” and that we are “good”. Do you see how this separates us from the Oneness of all life? Do you see how we are judging another?
Instead of reacting, look within. Ask our intuition for clarity on the issue. Do we feel threatened? Do we feel judged ourselves? Does this trigger our deepest fears? Does this touch upon something we have faced in our own lifetimes where we were judged and persecuted? Do we think we are being politically correct? A champion for others? A savior? There can be many reasons for our reaction, and while there are common themes among all of humanity, there are just as many unique responses that each and every one of us must face within our own hearts.
We have been programmed to react first and ponder later. Perhaps we can switch that around and contemplate the nature of our discontent before we react in judgment. Awareness that we are being triggered is the first step. And by all means, we must also stay out of judgment of ourselves! This is a brave and courageous thing to do, to examine our limitations and bring them out in the light of day where we can take a good long look at them. Many of these things which cause us to react with judgment are old energy programs that do not serve us as we aspire toward evolution and self mastery. Isn't is time to release some of these programs running behind the scenes that are draining our batteries? Isn't it time to delete these things which no longer support our growth and expansion?
When something or someone rouses our anger or pushes our buttons, firstly, practice the pause before reacting. Ask our higher guidance why we are being triggered. Are we in physical danger? If that is the case, then we immediately remove ourselves from the situation. But most of the time, we are not in physical danger, so we have the luxury of contemplation. Are we judging? When we arrive at the place of true self love, we enter the realm of non-judgment. When we are in non-judgment, we are able to practice innocent perception, like little children do. With innocent perception, we are the observer. We merely observe situations without any judgment attached. When someone does something that would show a lack of love, compassion and consciousness, such as uttering slurs, acting out with anger, doing something that is negative in nature to self or others, can we instead of adding fuel to the fire, send them compassion? Send them love? Can we honor their path, their choices, knowing that it does not have anything to do with us? Can we allow them to seek the only path apparent to them at that moment? Can we release the programs that tell us we have to fix that person or situation? Can we just bless their choices, even if they are not a vibrational match to our own and move on? When we can do this, we are indeed on the road to self mastery. And we are also on the road to complete freedom.
When the choices of others no longer affect us; when what someone else says or does does not affect our self respect; when any situation, no matter how frightening it may appear on the surface, does not cost us our peace of mind; when we seek out and trust in the gifts and lessons inherent within any situation: when we can do these things with ease and grace, we are truly free. Trusting in the benevolence and sentience of the Universe to bring to us all we require to evolve toward our highest life expression is the key. Do we really trust? Do we really believe that love is the answer to all things? Or will we continue to be offended, angered, triggered and fight, push and force our way through life, insisting our way is the only right and true way? It is always a choice and it is just another way that the Universe is showing us where we still hold density and things we must release in order to be free to expand into the Oneness in peace, love and compassion for all. Proving our point to someone who can't hear us has never yielded fruit throughout the history of humanity. Fighting darkness with darkness, force with force is not the way of this New Earth we are creating. Love is the way. Light is the way. Compassion is the way. These virtues unite us in the Oneness. The others only continue the separation that has endured upon this planet for eons. It's time to come together, not fall apart.
Understand that this is also about standing in our own power within any situation. When someone or something deeply disturbs us and is not a vibratory match with us, we are not required to keep that vibration within our energy field. We can remove the person, place or thing from our life-- plain and simple. This can be difficult when the person is a family member, or when the situation is one we have been within for a long period of time. But doing so honors our truth, and shows compassion for ourselves! It is essential for peace of mind!
There is another aspect of this which I would like to address... if we are all angelic at our core and all come from Source, we are all inherently benevolent beings. Some are expressing and still exploring the darkness within this lifetime. Many of us would like to fix them or judge them. But how about considering this? What if these individuals are merely playing dark roles within this life? Without the darkness, how can we appreciate the light? It is the nature of all things within the duality that exists upon our Earth. What if these persons are teachers? They may be acting unconsciously here in this incarnation, but they too have a super conscious component that exists within the Oneness. What if these are brave individuals who agreed to don this darkness in order to be teachers? Perhaps they are affording us all the opportunity to stand in our power? To act with compassion instead of anger? Perhaps they are mirrors allowing us to gauge how far we have come and what we still need to shift in order to vibrate higher on a consistent basis. If we consider this possibility, how can we judge them or anyone else? We have no way of knowing what someone's divine mission is. We are often not certain of our own! We all come from the same Source, which is Love. We are all connected and entangled at a fundamental level with all consciousness throughout this vast infinite multi-verse. What if we look within instead of judging what we see without? What if this is our lesson? When we consider this possibility, can we not act with love and compassion toward these beings who appear “lost”, but who may be great teachers in disguise? And if these persons are merely choosing the darkness and unconsciousness, perhaps our love and compassion will plant seeds of light that may germinate. We can never fully appreciate how acts of love and compassion can change everything-- perhaps not immediately, but over time.
This is just another view of life on our ascending planet. Let's upgrade our operating programs and perhaps view things from a higher perspective. When we can do this, we will feel more love, peace, joy, compassion and self mastery in our lives. We will then radiate these virtues to all within our sphere of influence, as well as to the collective of humanity, and the totality of the Gaia organism, of which we are an integral part. When we are truly able to see ourselves within another and feel that connection with all life, all consciousness, then, and only then, will we be able to consistently experience our place within the Oneness. When we can do that, we will finally realize that we have always been and will always be FREE!
Love, Light and Gratitude!
